ORieL Introduction

Oriel Barry was born in Wesley, Dominica on January 6, 1984.  He was blessed to grow up immersed in music.  At a young age he was part of a drum band and an active member of his school and church choir.  It was then that he started to develop his passion for music.

Lamar Clan and Vybz

In 2005, ORieL’s love for reggae culminated when he migrated to Pittsburgh, Pa.  Here he started Lamar Clan and Vybz Machine Sound System with popular DJ Fudge Springer.  ORieL quickly settled in and earned accolades as a DJ, Studio Engineer, and recording artist.  As a result, ORieL began focusing on his writing, recording, and producing his own music.

Musical Journey and the Revoluters

He honed his craft as an engineer while working with International Artists such as Bugle, RDX, Konshens, Jahmeil and many more.  Despite his success a producer, ORieL’s focus remained on being an artist!

ORieL has always experimented with the various sounds of music and its myriad of genres.  He describes his music as “Reggae/Fusion;” reggae music fused with Jazz, RnB, Rock, Blues and Hip Hop.

Eventually, he was able to assemble his band “The Revoluters.”  Soon after, ORieL & The Revoluters were performing on numerous stages around the world.  Blessing sold our crowds at Reggae SumFest, Rebel Salute, Montreal International Reggae Festival, Reggae Fusion Fest and many more with Reggae Fusion!

Afar Music Group and Discography

In 2012, ORiel tasted his first significant success as a singer.  Lamar Clan released the popular lover’s anthem, “My Love” which featured ORieL and Daseca Star, Bugle.

Then in arguably his most noteworthy move, ORieL signed with Afar Music Group recording label.  In 2013 his fans were treated to the release of two EPs on the same day! “Confidence 2.0” and “Love SoulJah,” (featuring production by Grammy nominated producer Daniel Boyle) were met with rave review.
