Love Jump Riddim (2016)

Upsetta-Records-Love-Jump-Riddim-Review

Upsetta-Records-Love-Jump-Riddim-ReviewYet again, Upsetta Records & Team Upsetta are turning things up with a brand new hot, musical, stepping riddim release called the “Love Jump Riddim”. After releasing four successful reggae riddims over the past years (Cuss Fix, Bomboflow, Kingship, and Pot A Cook), the Love Jump Riddim is bound to cause even more waves with its classic reggae instrumental feel, presenting a lively bounce that will sound really familiar to all reggae lovers. It’s an uplifting reggae riddim that is just right for the summer, crisp and raw instruments, representing all the vital elements that make up for a big, everlasting riddim compilation, with of course the right vocals to match.

Hugo Wolf of Flow Productions & Team Upsetta (Switzerland) put in a lot of work and effort into building the riddim to the highest production standards as possible and the brand new, Love Jump Riddim is sure to rattle bass cabinets, lift souls and pack dance floors around the globe.

The Love Jump Riddim features a wide array of International Reggae Stars who have consistently produced hits & have toured for decades between them and a few rising stars that are currently carving out significant names for themselves within the Reggae industry. The multi-talented and finely tuned artist line up on the Love Jump Riddim delivers six beautiful pieces of Reggae Music that cover a wide variety of topics from love, relationships, happiness, Amsterdam Coffeeshops and of course, real reggae music!

The Love Jump Line Up

Beautiful, Jamaican crooner Aisha Davis contributes a soulful, summertime anthem “We Got Love (Cherry Lipstick),” which is enhanced and perfectly complemented by the rawness and ruff style of the Prince of Dancehall, Mr. Lexx.

The Love Jump Riddim’s vintage energy is an idealistic match for the longtime reggae veteran (from the days of King Jammy’s and ’80s/90’s), Isiah Mentor (Lilly Melody) and his tribute to “REAL Reggae Music” with Foundation Music.

Amsterdam Love

The immensely diverse and energetic Perfect Giddimani took time from his lengthy European Tour to pay tribute to the “Coffeeshop Culture” in Amsterdam, Netherlands & the highest of grades with the ultra-catchy “Amsterdam Coffeeshop,” which will permanently resonate in your head.

Arguably one of the most underrated artists in the reggae industry; reggae star Natural Black (Mortimer Softley) returns to bless the massive once again with his distinctively smooth and mellow voice on the full offering, “Happy Days.”

Notorious for her reggae rendition of “Breathe Again” in the late ’90s, Sweet Tea is back and delivers a lovely & addictive hook for her duet with rising DJ, Jah Teff, “Bring Me Joy.”

Upcoming Artist

Last but not least on the Love Jump Riddim line up is a fast-rising singer from Cashflow Records out of Jamaica, Fabian – who undoubtedly serenades every female audience with his latest single, “Hold So Tight.”

Less than a week and already receiving rave reviews and international airplay; Upsetta Records, Flow Productions and the entire Team Upsetta family is excited about the Love Jump Riddim EP and is honored to share it with the world!

Notable review from Gav Pauze from PauzeRadio.com (UK):

“… a solid production that is just right for the summer, crisp and raw instruments, representing all the vital elements that make up for a big, everlasting riddim compilation, with of course the right vocals to match. This release does not disappoint us in any way.”

“This release is a shining example of how reggae should be produced, keeping the original feel of what reggae is all about, which is essential and the live instrument sound makes for a deadly combination that is unforgettable.”

“The first track, Aisha Davis and Mr. Lexx bring to us a sure-fire hit song with “We Got Love”. Their sounds compliment each other so well, Aisha giving us her sweet vocals and backing, coupled with Mr. Lexx rolling out the original DJ style, this tune will bring the hairs on your arms to stand on end whilst you absorb in their message fully.”

“It’s really good to hear Natural Black back in full force and on top form, giving us “Happy Days” and blessing the Team Upsetta with this sweet vocal piece, which is bound to put a big smile on your face …”

“… incredible unique sounds of Perfect Giddimani, rounding off the release with a big tune “Amsterdam Coffeeshop” in the only way that he knows how to grace a riddim, and that is with a perfect vocal performance and catchy hooks. His style and potency are one of a kind and you can hear how lyrically gifted he is in this song, that’s so pleasing to the ear.”

“Overall, this whole compilation is off the hook. The tight and on-point production makes it stand out from a lot of current releases, the composition, mixing and mastering of this project is pleasing to the ear and is exactly what I call an authentic, real reggae release. Each song on the project has a different feel to it, covering a variety of topics, creating a little something for everyone. It’s a must-have release and will nice up any dance, radio station and even perfect for playing in your car as your driving along, windows down, roof down, through the summer sun with a smile on your face.”

Notable review from I Am the Industry’s, Hope Carter:

“Vibes have never gone lacking in reggae music, and Upsetta Music x Flow Productions’ latest album takes it to another level with the Love Jump Riddim.”

“Team Upsetta is no stranger to creating hits, including “Too Watchy” by Collie Buddz, “Farmer Man” by Kali Blaxx, “Can’t Take Bun” by Khago and “If Me Never Run,” so I was expecting a large amount of creativity and detail in the production of this album. My expectations were definitely met.”

“Love Jump Riddim can be played doing anything and still be an appropriate soundtrack, as a background at work, just chilling with friends, picking up girls (or guys), and also in the club, as an added bonus. Love Jump Riddim’s versatility makes it the sound of the summer because it embodies all of the summer’s activities in a sound. If you could hear the hottest months of the year, it would sound like Love Jump Riddim.”

“We Got Love (Cherry Lipstick Rmx)” by international dancehall superstar Mr. Lexx (Lexxus) and Aisha Davis is probably the track that I will have on repeat.”

“Isiah Mentor’s track, “Foundation Music,” sums up what the Love Jump Riddim is all about – the love and enjoyment of “real reggae music,” a genre that evokes a good time and good feelings for all.”

“Amsterdam Coffeeshop” just needs to be played in your car, windows down, cruising the streets on a summer day, or next to the pool. Perfect laces the Love Jump Riddim with a chorus that you can’t help but sing along to, and you feel as you would in what would probably be the most chill place in the world – a coffeehouse in Amsterdam.”

“Upsetta Music and Flow Productions’ Love Jump Riddim is only a few days old and it’s already taking legs – and for good reason: strategic planning and taking control of the track’s proliferation, and summer hits for the duration of the album.”
